Ladis John Gola of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Friday,May 11, 2012 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.He was 70.Mr. Gola was born October 13, 1941 in New York, NewYork, the son of the late John and Celia Gola.He served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy duringthe Vietnam War.Mr. Gola spent a substantial portion of his workingcareer as a Machine Designer for the Johnson andJohnson companies.Ladis was a member of the DelRods Car Club, HistoricVintage Car Club of Delaware (HVCCD), RegionalPlymouth Owners Car Club, and the Kent County CoinClub.He enjoyed showing his 1976 Duster and collectingcoins. He was an avid gardener who took great joy inseeing his garden blossom. He also enjoyedwoodworking and was a computer buff.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joann A.Gola; a son, Guy John Gola, his wife Stacey and theirtwo children, all of Norwalk, CT; two cousins, CharlesCebula of Frankfort, IL and Alien Cebula of Naperville,IL; and three sisters.A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from9am to 10 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at29 S.
