The Del Rods Club is organized to promote interest in various types of street rodding as a non-profit organization. It seeks to create good fellowship and sportsmanship among all club members, and to uphold the principle of good government. It also conducts Club functions and activities in a manner befitting members of the street rodding sport among members of the public, press and law enforcement agencies. It also strives to promote safe driving, automobile maintenance and overall vehicle operation. The Club is incorporated according to the Laws of the State of Delaware. Del Rods was founded in 1974. We have been hosting a Cruise Night the last Saturday of the month from April through October since 1985, and recently have added another Cruise Night on the Second Saturday of the month. We also put on car Shows at our Cruise Night location and other locations throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall. If you are a member of Delrods Car Club, please register. Greetings! We thought it would be nice to have an area that each year's President could use to express their comments, announcements, congratulations, etc. Now that the we have had this year's Wings & Wheels Show at the DAFB's AMC Museum on July 19th, I want to personally thank all of the members of the Del Rods. Thanks to your help and support - we pulled off a great show for our participants. The Museum Director is delighted with the attention that the Museum received, our food vendors nearly sold out of everything - I heard that the American Legion was down to selling hot dogs on a slice of bread! Many thanks go out to all of our sponsors and the donations that they made to the Club. Their support allows us to continue to put on quality events for our participants and to be able to give back to the community each year. One of the highlights for me, personally, was having the opportunity to watch the DAFB's Honor Guard perform the Presenting of the Colors. I've never witnessed that before and it was truly a great, patriotic sight to behold. That's it for now - remember - Cruise Night - 7/26. Patty Chase
